Position summary

Treanor’s Sites team plays an integral role in the Firm’s studio projects. Our team participates in all phases of design including concept generation, detailed design documents, construction documents, and presentation materials for various projects across the U.S.

We are seeking a Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect to join our team in Lawrence, KS or Kansas City, MO.

Treanor is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, degree, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The anticipated base salary for candidates meeting the stated requirements is $60,000 – $75,000 and may vary by states we operate in.

Primary responsibilities

  • Proficient with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch-up, GIS, and InDesign graphic software
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Revit and Newforma is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Lumion and Rhino is desired
  • Familiar with irrigation systems
  • Ability to render plans and graphics for presentations
  • Able to translate survey documents and civil documents into architectural site plans
  • Able lay out site plans, drawings and elevations from preliminary drawings
  • Able to draft existing buildings or site conditions
  • Understand land-use regulatory process and can perform basic zoning research including site zoning, overlay implications, setbacks, height restrictions, buffer restrictions, etc.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Able to present and interact with clients and design consultants
  • Able and willing to work collaboratively in team environment
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines

Position requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture with 2-5 years of professional experience.
  • Working towards licensure or licensed.
  • LEED, SITES, or WELL Building credential desired.
