Position summary

This individual is a producer and leads the “practice” side of the work. They are responsible for the design, deliverables (drawings and specifications) and the construction administration of the project. This would include coordination of staff and consultants.

This position requires independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.  They also lead the technical design aspects of a project including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions.

Treanor is committed to equitable compensation practices. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, degree, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The anticipated salary range for candidates meeting the stated requirements is $85,000 – 110,000 and will vary by the states we operate in.

Primary responsibilities

  1. Manage multiple projects for select clients
  2. Manage a team of 1-2 staff members
  3. Prepares design and construction drawings and technical specifications using information supplied by the client, project manager or data obtained from research activities
  4. Keep the team appraised of design development as well as any decisions which may affect the design schedule, design budget or construction budget
  5. Review contractor submittals
  6. Research materials and assemblies for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings
  7. Provide potential solutions for design challenges
  8. Monitor site activity for any potential unanticipated adverse effects, prepare site visit reports and develop responses to request for information
  9. Provide Principal-in-Charge with regular updates on status, issues, or challenges
  10. Act as liaison between contractors and other team members as necessary to facilitate proactive, creative solutions. Coordinate and keep consultants informed and integrated in all process steps
  11. Maintains project records

Position requirements

  1. An accredited degree in Architecture
  2. Licensed preferred but not required
  3. 7-10 years of experience on technically oriented projects
  4. Excellent attention to detail with high levels of productivity
  5. Highly proficient in Revit and Bluebeam
  6. Willing to work independently with little supervision
  7. Able and willing to travel outside of local area
  8. Ability to clearly convey information and ideas verbally and graphically
