Andy is technically a member of our Site Planning studio; however, he likes to think of himself as being an integral part of design in all our studios. Growing up in the often-frozen tundra that is the great state of North Dakota, Andy developed a passion for the outdoors and the environment. This love led him to pursue a degree in landscape architecture at North Dakota State University. Andy’s focus is on the balance between the built and natural environments, creating context and cohesion while connecting people to their surroundings.

Andy collaborates with our designers and clients to develop an outdoor environment that complements the facility. His experience ranges from master planning campus landscapes and connectivity to site and planting planning. Familiar with multiple jurisdictions, climates, and topography, Andy leads the team to make environmentally conscious solutions that maximize sustainability and minimize maintenance, resulting in properties and facilities that work better, now and for years to come. When Andy is not working on projects, he loves to travel and spend time with his family, especially exploring nature with his two daughters.
