PhoenixBrian’s career passion is to create a sense of community and help those in need. After 16 years, most of which spent in the K-12 education field, Brian decided to explore similar connections in Treanor’s Justice studio. Reframing the common narrative, these projects can positively impact people’s lives, promoting a greater sense of prosperity and humanity.
When he’s not at the office, Brian regularly participates in professional groups such as the AIA Committee on the Environment, Sierra Club, Arizona Forward, and the U.S. Green Building Council. He enjoys our office location in Phoenix, where he can experience the downtown culture and explore the incredible landscapes Arizona has to offer.

What is the best part of your job?
I love to help the public communities in which I design, which directly shape people’s lives for many generations to come. I also really enjoy the culture of design, and I look forward to sharing that passion through mentorship roles.
What is on your bucket list?
Becoming an expert in a new project type. Learning Spanish! Traveling Latin America and southeast Asia more. Practicing my own art. A Grand Canyon River trip. Hiking the Arizona Trail (or another through-hike), and climbing in every U.S. mountain range!
What is your advice to young professionals in your field?
Stay open-minded, hungry for knowledge, and confident as you mature in your career. Your interests and work-style may change, and if you embrace that, you can thrive in unexpected ways.
