Cal Jones

Cal brings a unique blend of experience to his role as Director of Finance at Treanor, where he leads the finance team with a focus on data-driven decision-making and financial transparency. With a background that spans from a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry to working as a baker for more than three years to nearly a decade in public accounting, Cal’s journey has been anything but traditional. After earning his master’s in accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Cal spent eight years specializing in tax and accounting services, with a focus on real estate taxation. When the opportunity at Treanor arose, he knew it was the perfect fit to combine his interests in management accounting and financial reporting with his experience working with developers in public accounting.

Cal is dedicated to ensuring that complex financial information is accessible and actionable. His leadership is grounded in his belief that financial reporting should enhance the firm’s ability to make informed, strategic decisions. As a licensed CPA and active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Cal is committed to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.

Outside of work, Cal enjoys traveling with his wife and two energetic boys, camping, and cheering on Kansas City’s sports teams. Raised in the suburbs of Kansas City, Cal’s local roots and passion for community align with Treanor’s mission of creating smarter, community-enhancing architecture.
