Chloe has lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. She was fortunate to explore new cities and live in new places during college thanks to study abroad and extended internship opportunities. The more she traveled, the more she fell in love with how buildings and cities are intertwined, designed, and planned.

She is a designer in the Justice studio. Her favorite part of the job is seeing people live, work, and play in the spaces we’ve designed. Seeing people happy with something you’ve created for them is so rewarding. One of her career highlights has been studying behavioral health and mental health in corrections environments which has increased her awareness and passion for the users of these facilities.

Outside work, her favorite hobby is tennis, as serious or goofy as needed. Her favorite player will forever be Rafa; she even plays with the same brand as his current racquet. She also enjoys reading suspense books, especially if they have some history or architectural accuracy thrown in.

What is your favorite building or landmark?

My favorite building is Le Louvre in Paris. The glass pyramid by I.M. Pei activates the plaza while complementing the historic building beautifully.

What are some accomplishments you're most proud of?

Participating in the AIA AAJ Next Gen committee, including speaking at two conferences, my Behavioral Health/Mental Health in Corrections sabbatical study, and participation in the AIA KC Pillars and EDI committees.
