Sara brings more than 15 years of diverse experience in architecture and urban design to Treanor, where she serves as an architectural designer and project manager. With a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor’s in Architecture and a Master’s in Urban Design from Iran, along with graduate coursework in Landscape Architecture from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Sara’s experience spans residential, commercial, and office projects across the West Coast.

Sara’s career journey has taken her from designing custom homes in the Bay Area to managing large-scale retail projects, always with a focus on creating functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. Now, she’s excited to bring her skills to healthcare design, where she aims to contribute to our Health team’s practice of creating spaces that promote healing, comfort, and well-being. As a member of NCARB and a licensed architect in Iran, Sara’s commitment to continuous learning and innovation aligns seamlessly with Treanor’s mission to think beyond the project and enhance the communities we serve.

Outside of her professional work, Sara volunteers with the Anything is Possible Foundation, supporting initiatives that empower individuals to achieve their potential. She’s passionate about exploring new places, experiences, and ideas, often finding inspiration through travel and writing.

Get to know Sara

What is your favorite building or landmark?

Naqshe Jahan Square in Isfahan. Growing up in Isfahan, that square was my to-go place. So many memories!

What is the best part of your job?

The best part is the collaboration and synergy created within the team. The “figuring-out” part is meditative and the challenge of learning something new is good stress.

What projects are you proud to have worked on?

A list of 30+ grocery outlet projects in a 2-year timeline. I was a job captain at the time and our team did not have a PM, so I assumed the responsibility. With my studio director’s trust, I led the team, and we got those projects through the finish line.
