With a strong foundation in urban design and a growing portfolio in justice and commercial architecture, Zareen is passionate about creating spaces that foster connection, purpose, and well-being. Her work reflects a thoughtful approach—shaping environments that both serve and inspire.

Zareen brings valuable experience in both architectural and interior design, with standout contributions to justice center projects, law office renovations, and community-driven urban revitalization efforts. She thrives at designing spaces that reflect the values of their users—whether it’s a welcoming and professional law firm lobby or a secure and humanizing justice facility. For Zareen, the best part of design is seeing ideas come to life—watching people connect with spaces in ways even the design team didn’t anticipate. She is driven by the belief that design can be a powerful tool for social change and community healing, which aligns with Treanor’s mission of advancing trauma-informed, resilient justice architecture.

What is on your bucket list?

Taking private flight classes to earn my pilot’s license—it’s something I’ve always wanted to experience. I also hope to foster a healthy and happy family environment while maintaining a balance between work and personal commitments. Lastly, I’d love to travel to more remote places and capture stunning landscapes through photography.

What is your advice to young professionals in your field?

My advice to young professionals in architecture and design is to gain the courage to aim for exceptional work. View challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities for growth and innovation. The field is constantly evolving, and it’s important to stay curious and embrace new technologies, design approaches, and diverse cultural influences. Don’t be afraid to push boundaries, take risks, and make mistakes—each experience will teach you something valuable. Surround yourself with mentors and peers who inspire you, and remember that the journey is as important as the destination.

What is an interesting fact not many people know about you?

I served in the U.S. Army for a year and held a rifle marksmanship back then.

Who is your biggest hero?

One of my biggest heroes is actually myself. I say this not out of arrogance, but because I’m constantly breaking stereotypes and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. I love exploring new dimensions within myself.
