Letter from our president: a year of momentum, impact, and gratitude
A letter from Dan Rowe, President of Treanor
As we close out 2025, I’ve been reflecting on what makes this firm extraordinary. It’s not just the projects we deliver or the recognition we receive—it’s the people who show up every day with curiosity, generosity, and a deep commitment to designing spaces that help communities thrive.
This year reminded me once again how fortunate we are to work alongside such talented, values-driven colleagues and partners. Together, we reached meaningful milestones that speak to who we are and what we stand for.
What we accomplished in 2025
This year, Treanor was named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, a recognition that reflects our team’s honest feedback, collaboration, and the culture we build every day. It’s an honor that belongs to each of us. We were also honored to be named one of Engineering News-Record’s Top 100 Green Design Firms, a reflection of our ongoing commitment to environmentally responsible, high-impact design.
We also celebrated four groundbreakings and 15 ribbon cuttings on projects across our market specialties and across the country, and we had the honor of taking home eight local, national, and global awards recognizing our comprehensive rebrand and our service-oriented launch day—an effort that didn’t just refresh our identity, but reaffirmed our shared purpose.
Across our studios, we welcomed 30 new team members, awarded 19 promotions, and celebrated three newly licensed architects who embody the next generation of design leadership. I’m proud of each and every one of them, along with the entire team who guided, trained, mentored, and lifted them up along the way.
Our commitment to community continued in powerful ways. Treanor employees dedicated more than 1,400 volunteer hours across the U.S., showing up to support food security, education, health, and local initiatives that matter deeply to the places we call home.
We invested in our people, too—contributing more than $92,000 toward student loan and childcare expenses, helping remove financial barriers that impact wellbeing and personal growth.
And every day, we showed up for our clients. We designed spaces that elevate health, safety, learning, exploration, and wellbeing, and we helped communities imagine what’s possible by bringing those visions to life. Along the way, we shared countless moments of laughter and joy—the kind of everyday connection that reminds us why the work matters.
Looking ahead to 2026
With the foundation we’ve built together, 2026 brings an opportunity to deepen our impact.
- We will continue enriching our design work with triple-bottom-line sustainability, shaping healthier, more resilient communities.
- We will empower clients to reach further by investing in industry-leading technology and workflows that feel seamless and intuitive.
- We will keep growing our team of next-generation leaders, supporting their drive to explore the extraordinary and chart bold new paths.
- And we will seek partnerships rooted in shared values, celebrating collaboration with design and construction leaders who elevate our work and our industry.
Thank you
To our team, partners, clients, and communities: thank you for everything we accomplished this year. Thank you for the care you bring to your work, the kindness you bring to each other, and the trust you place in us and our collective direction.
As we pause for the holidays, I hope you enjoy time with the people who bring meaning to your life. May the season offer rest, connection, and a bright start to the new year.
With gratitude,
Dan
