Hassan is deeply inspired by the process of architecture. As an award-winning designer in our Health studio, he loves the collaboration and the constant flux or evolution of a design. Hassan’s creativity and background in business provide him with a holistic perspective that supports our goal of blending form and function for the betterment of buildings, people, and the environment.

Having completed a variety of projects for the firm in various states, Hassan’s recent healthcare project experience includes The Colorado Center of Orthopedic Excellence in Colorado Springs, the Montrose Medical office building in Montrose, Colorado, and the German Consulate in San Francisco.

Hassan’s inspiration comes from his father, who was his role model from a young age. He was an immigrant from Bethlehem chasing the American dream, and after six months of trying to get a visa for the U.S. from five different countries, he finally made it in 1966. He was a businessman, an orator, a scholar, and the most charismatic person Hassan says he has ever met.

The Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki. The building is at the core of an urban neighborhood and was carved into the granite hilltop. I have visited a dozen times since my childhood, and no two experiences have been the same. It is a hidden gem!

What do you like to do outside of work?

As a father of four, I live a very family-centric life.

What is your advice to young professionals in your field?

Stay generous! Stay curious!
