Tara Sayler
SHRM-CP
Human Resources Coordinator
Location
LawrenceWhen Tara was growing up, she originally wanted to be a veterinarian or a teacher. Her mother was in the human resources field, and Tara saw the genuine relationships she had with employees. She noticed the safe space her mother created. While working as a staff accountant for a local non-profit, the HR profession whispered to her, and Tara went back to school for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Today, she enjoys creating a familiar, safe space for Treanor employees and doing her part to help them thrive in their careers.
Tara’s position requires many skills that involve streamlining recruitment processes, nurturing talent, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. She supports a diverse and inclusive workplace and contributes to the firm’s thriving and harmonious work environment. She adapts to many situations and enjoys assisting employees in whatever capacity they need her.
A lifelong Lawrence resident, Tara and her husband have three children who keep her on her toes. She’s happiest outdoors, walking, riding her bike, gardening, or doing yard work, playing with kids, or going to the lake. She has a love/hate relationship with running, which may or may not be her favorite activity, depending on the day.

What is the best part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is interacting with and being of assistance to our employees in whatever capacity they need me.
What is on your bucket list?
I would love to visit Yellowstone National Park or anywhere in the Montana, Wyoming area. I would also love to visit Canada. Put me out in nature with mountains, and I’m a happy girl.
What is a top accomplishment you're proud of?
My biggest accomplishment was going back to school to finish my bachelor’s degree and then continue on for my master’s degree—all while working full-time and being a mother to two small children.
Recently, I’m proud of myself for passing my SHRM-CP certification. It was like being in school again—I took a 3-hour class one night a week and studied almost every night in order to pass the test.
