New fraternity house provides popular gathering and entertainment spaces

The new three-story English Gothic fraternity house for Kappa Sigma was designed to retain the best and most unique features of the chapter house it replaced. A new “pit” was built to replicate the rustic cellar character of the original, while the second floor lounge serves as a central gathering place and functions like the old lobby. The house also features a large tiered TV room where members can gather to watch away games.

The house is designed to make a welcoming impression on new recruits, active members, chapter alumni, and the campus as a whole. The new facility melds elements of the old house, such as the pit, that are important to fellowship and scholarship, combined with modern renovations that keep Kappa Sigma competitive with other campus fraternities.
