A new standard for an inclusive, sustainable student living environment

Imagine a place where innovation meets community, where sustainability blends seamlessly with comfort, and where every detail is designed to foster a sense of belonging and success. Gateway Hall is a 330-bed LEED Gold-certified residence hall that doesn’t just provide housing—it also creates an enriching, interactive environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Located in Columbia, Missouri, Gateway Hall offers students more than just a place to stay; it offers a home that welcomes all and nurtures a spirit of inclusivity. With interactive spaces and thoughtful layouts, students are encouraged to engage, collaborate, and grow together, forming tight-knit communities that last well beyond their university years.

Fostering connections and creativity through flexible spaces

The design of each room reflects flexibility and functionality, balancing both private and communal spaces. Communities of 37 students share thoughtfully designed social lounges and study rooms, fostering a perfect blend of interaction and quiet reflection. Gender-inclusive bathrooms provide the privacy and comfort needed to make every student feel secure and respected.

Gateway Hall’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop with its eco-friendly construction. The building’s seamless indoor and outdoor transitions provide students with beautiful, sustainable spaces to enjoy nature while pursuing their academic goals. More than just a place to live, Gateway Hall invites students to leave their mark, making it part of their story as much as they become part of its legacy.

A residence hall that supports every aspect of student life

The hall’s array of amenities has been carefully curated to support student success on every level: personal, academic, and social. Gateway Hall offers:

  • Well-equipped learning lounges
  • Multipurpose gathering space
  • Community-building lounge
  • Indoor and outdoor meeting areas
  • Gender-inclusive bathrooms
  • Community kitchen
