PhoenixAs a principal in Treanor’s Higher Education studio, Dana brings more than 25 years of experience helping colleges and universities plan for the future while creating spaces that support student success, academic excellence, and campus growth. Dana combines planning and architectural experience to help institutions make thoughtful decisions that strengthen both their campuses and communities.
Throughout his career, Dana has led planning and design efforts for a wide range of higher education projects, from campus master plans to academic, research, and student-focused facilities. He has collaborated with Treanor for years, contributing to projects including the Zachry Engineering Education Complex and the Instructional Laboratory & Innovative Learning Building at Texas A&M University, as well as Frisco Landing at the University of North Texas at Frisco.
A licensed architect and certified planner, Dana offers a unique perspective shaped by experience on both sides of the table: as a consultant and as a university employee. He understands how the larger campus environment and individual buildings work together to influence the student experience, institutional goals, and long-term success.
Originally from Ohio, Dana has lived in desert communities around the world for more than 25 years, despite being an avid skier. His travels have taken him to five continents, and he’s determined to visit the remaining two. Outside of work, he enjoys reading science fiction, collecting comic books, experimenting with new cocktail recipes, and exploring university campuses wherever his travels take him.
