Rachel Okeson

Rachel is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in architectural and interior design, with experience across residential, commercial, and public projects. She strongly believes in the economic, social, and psychological impact of space. In response to this belief, Rachel adopts a holistic design approach, informed by research across a broad spectrum of disciplines, ranging from economics and business development to sociology, psychology, and neuroscience.

She seeks projects that contribute to the health and well-being of individuals and their communities, prioritizing people over profits, while approaching space creation through the lens of empathy and equity. Furthermore, Rachel believes the most sustainable projects are the ones with resilience of use, appropriate scale, and positive impact. The “why” one builds is far more important than the “how.”

Rachel received a Master of Architecture and Master of Interior Architecture from Arizona State University, in addition to a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is Living Future accredited, with a specific interest in the principles of biophilic design. Furthermore, Rachel maintains a real estate license in Arizona, where she stays informed about economic and social issues related to land use and development. Committed to nurturing future generations of designers, she continues to teach at Arizona State University as a faculty associate.
