Creating a unique campus experience at Texas Tech

The Zeta Tau Alpha sorority house is a new two-story lodge located at a prime location on the Greek Circle near the Texas Tech University campus. The 9,500 SF lodge, completed in 2020, features a large living room, chapter room, a large gourmet residential-style kitchen, various meeting and study spaces, and outdoor patio, balcony, and terrace spaces.

Sorority and fraternity chapter members do not live in their houses at Texas Tech, so this house functions as a lodge to conduct chapter meetings, provide a variety of study and meeting spaces, and provide social spaces to promote sisterhood for the entire chapter. A dedicated house for the chapter to gather supports a strong network of current members and active alumnae.

The house design was influenced by the Spanish Renaissance style found on and important to the Texas Tech University campus. It was important to create a unique campus identity for Zeta Tau Alpha while maintaining aesthetic consistency with the rest of the Greek community.
