DenverNick is a Colorado local who grew up in the small town of Gunnison. He has been working at Treanor since 2007 and serves as a principal in our Advanced Industries studio, which designs spaces at the leading edge of technological innovation. Driven by his love of the outdoors and passion for architecture and photography, Nick’s dedication to process-focused and technical projects has translated to specializing in aviation, aerospace, and high-tech facilities.
Nick brings a wealth of experience to each of his projects, ensuring they are approached holistically and creatively. He takes pride in his work, from mission-critical facilities where vital research is conducted and stored to educational facilities that serve as landmarks for communities and the natural environment. As our leading specialist in secure spaces and the design of projects to meet Department of Defense (DOD) security parameters, Nick brings a people-centered approach to the design of these facilities, subtly tying each project back to its community, occupant, and owner. Nick has a certificate in ICD 705 SCIF/SAPF Planning, Design, & Construction from Singularity Security Group (SSG).
Nick’s contributions to the firm have been integral in furthering our mission of delivering meaningful design, and his collaborative work ethic inspires others around him to use the power of design to help others thrive. When Nick isn’t working, he spends time with his family, enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, golfing, and traveling.
I have been very pleased with the value and professionalism Nooks has found in our teammates at Treanor. Treanor has been an excellent partner in the design of our flagship location. Nicholas McCormick is a visionary and taskmaster. I’m happy to call him my teammate.
